Help Protect Sea Turtles
Sea Turtles live in Destin year-round and are currently in the nesting phase between May 1st and October 31st, so please practice caution at the beach to help preserve these amazing creatures. Here are a few things you can do to help protect sea turtles and their nests.
- Remove all belongings from the beach, and leave nothing but your footprints.
- Fill in holes you dig and flatten sandcastles.
- Refrain from using white flashlights; use the type with red covers instead, and turn off any outside lights at your vacation rental that face the beach.
These are just a few ways we can protect these amazing creatures. You can learn more on the Destin-Fort Walton Beach website.

See Our Aquatic Friends
We cannot guarantee that we will spot sea turtles or other aquatic life during our sailing tour, but we often see them. We can also see some of our dolphin friends if we are lucky. The sea turtle images in this blog are from underneath the water, and only a few were from the boat. See our previous blog Dolphin & Snorkeling Adventures for Kids, if you are interested in snorkeling with small children. Captain Pam and her crew provide a safe and fun environment for all.
